Westchester County NY Now Requires Private Well Water Testing When Selling A Home
Effective November 19, 2007, Westchester County NY sellers with private wells for their water, will be required to test their water and provide buyers with results from a Certified Laboratory. Up until now, if a buyer wanted to test well water, they added well testing to list of inspections after making an offer on a property. Effective Nov 19 though, the burden now shifts to the seller to have the testing done at the time the home is put on the market.
